Whether you're a card game enthusiast or new to tabletop games, Name Clash promises hours of entertainment and competitive fun. Gather your friends and family, shuffle a full deck of cards (excluding jokers), and prepare for a battle of wits and memory that will leave you on the edge of your seat!
Objective
The goal of Name Clash is to get rid of all your cards. The player who accomplishes that first is the winner and the last player remaining with cards during the final round loses.
Setup
- Gather two or more players.
- Use a standard deck of cards, removing the jokers.
- Shuffle the deck thoroughly and deal an equal number of cards to each player.
Ruleset
- Choose a dealer to begin the game.
- Use a standard deck of cards, excluding the jokers.
- Shuffle the deck and deal an equal number of cards to each player.
- The dealer selects a category (e.g., "Fruits," "Cities," "Singers", etc.).
- Players must choose a name or noun from the selected category and announce it to the other players.
- Players cannot look at their own cards at any point during the game but they are allowed to shuffle them except for their pile of cards played and placed in front of them.
- Players will continuously and simultaneously place one card face up and stacked on their pile, until two or more have matching cards.
- When matching cards appear, the involved players must quickly call out one of the names/nouns chosen by others.
- The last player to do so collects the entire card pile of the opposing player that called the name/noun.
- Start a new round with a different category, and repeat steps 4 to 9.
- Continue until two players remain.
- In the final round, the last two players split their remaining decks in half, keeping one half and setting the other aside.
- The game ends when one of the two remaining players successfully gets rid of all their cards.
- The player with cards remaining in their hand at the end of the game loses.
