Tech Tycoon

Tech Tycoon is a fast-paced card game and modification of Monopoly Deal. Players become CEOs of fictional tech companies in Silicon Valley, competing for market dominance and technological supremacy, through strategy, luck and player interaction. Build your tech empire, outmaneuver your rivals, and emerge as the leading Tech Tycoon. 

Objective

The goal is to be the first player to collect three complete sets of company divisions , which are represented by different colored cards. Each set consists of different subdivisions that will help build your company, such as Design, Marketing, Finance Department, Cybersecurity, AI Research, Software Development, Hardware Manufacturing, etc.

Setup

1. Each player picks a Company Card and is placed in front of the player to represent their company.
2. Shuffle all the cards and deal five to each player.
3. Place the remaining cards face down to form a draw pile.

Cards

1. Division Cards: Different colors representing various tech sectors.
2. Action Cards: Used to disrupt opponents or advance your position.
3. Company Cards: Each player's starting card, depicting their unique company.
4. Revenue Cards: Cards in the player's hand or bank that can be used to buy company division cards from other players. 

Game Mechanics

1. Turn Structure:

• Draw two cards from the pile on every turn
• Play up to three cards from your hand. These can be company Division Cards, Action Cards, or Revenue Cards to build your empire and affect gameplay.
• Discard cards to the to the bank (kept on the side) if your hand exceeds seven cards. Discarding Action and company Division Cards to the bank makes their original purpose ineffective, but turns them into monetary value, with specific amounts indicated on each card.  

2. Company Division Cards:

• Play and place these cards in a row, in front of you and behind your Company Card to build your company.
• Each card indicates how many more of the same color must be collected to complete a set for a specific division
• You may start building as many sets as you like, as long as you are able to complete a group of 3 sets to become the 'tech tycoon'.

3. Action Cards:

• Poach: Take a card from another player’s Division set to poach their employees.
• Corporate Spy: Look at another player's hand and steal a card of your choice.
• Market Disruption: Force all players to discard their hand and draw the same number of cards from the draw pile. The discarded cards will not go the bank but can be reused if the draw pile is empty.
• Tech Innovation: Play two additional cards this turn to boost your progress.
• Public Relations: Protect yourself from any action card or cancel an action card played against you.
• Investor: Draw 2 extra cards.

Winning

The first player to collect three complete sets of company Division Cards wins.
